What a brilliant time we all had at Hogmanay Live on BBC Radio Scotland. Thanks to Scots singer Fiona Hunter and to presenter Bryan Burnet for getting the dancers all fired up! Whooooop! All the best for 2017 everyone!
Lovely day at the VEIL wedding fair today.

Congratulations to Ali and Kirstin McKellar! Gorgeous sunny day at Culcreuch Castle Hotel in the Campsie Fells. Adam and Hamish played their duo fiddle/piano background music for the guests in the daytime and were joined by the rest of the band for the big ceilidh in the hall!
We had the pleasure of playing a few weddings in the barn at Comrie Croft. What a great venue: great food and drink, lovely staff and a nice big dance floor with hay bales all around!
Congratulations to Gill and Cammy, and to Paul and Corinne! We wish all the very best in your future together!
Hamish, John and Stevie
The lads performed on the BBC for the Burns Supper this year! Some great recitals of Burns’ poetry, braw singing and some fine haggis!
We had such a blast at the Edinburgh Hogmanay Street Party on the Royal Mile! Hundreds of dancers – just great fun!
Talk about authentic highland weddings, this is it! Anne-Margaret and John Anderson kick off their wedding ceilidh at Crear with a traditional Wedding Reel, a spectacular traditional first dance with the maid of honour and best man. Great piping too from one of the guests! We had such a brilliant night! Congratulations again to Mr and Mrs Anderson!
Congratulations Sam and Fran Kent! Thanks so much to you and you guests for a truly brilliant night! Cheers for the photos!
What a great day in the Grassmarket in Edinburgh at The St.Andrew’s Day Celebrations! Teaching four-dozen toddlers how to do the Canadian Barn Dance in a wee dome tent in the morning…to playing an Orcadian Strip the Willow to a crowd of over 2000 people at the end of the night! We also caught up with Scottish folk legend Dougie MacLean (writer of “Caledonia”) backstage!
Check out out new video! Cheers, Hamish, John & Stevie
